Mark Gjurasic, our NACM-WWA Lobbyist, and Chester Baldwin, will be presenting our local State’s current session legislative activities in Olympia and the direct impact they may or may not have on businesses in our state.

They will primarily focus on concerns of interest to our NACM & CFDD members. And they will show how we as Credit Managers can make a difference in the areas important to you and your company.

ABOUT THE SPEAKERS:

Mark Gjurasic is the principal of Public Affairs of Washington, LLC, specializing in governmental affairs representation, fundraising
and educational services. He began his lobbying career in 1979. As a result, he has long-term relationships with many lawmakers both on the Congressional and State level. Mark’s background includes an active military career in the United States Army as a commission officer, and graduate studies at U.C.L.A. in Marketing, with undergraduate work in Journalism and Advertising at the University of Washington.

Mark represents NACM-WWA as well as many businesses, which he has represented for over 26 years. Some of his other clients include the following:

Washington Collectors Association (WCA),
Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA),
Washington Apartment Association (WAA),
Institute for Real-Estate Management (IREM),
Manufactured Housing Communities of Washington (MHCW),
Washington Self Storage Association (WSSA)
Backcountry Horsemen of Washington (BCHW), and § Washington Snowmobile Association (WSSA).

Chester Baldwin graduated from the University of Washington with Honors in 2001, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Computer Information Systems and Finance and a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Health. He worked in consulting for several years before going to law school where he earned his Juris Doctorate from Seattle University School of Law, graduating in 2007. Mr. Baldwin is a member of the Washington State Bar Association and Thurston County Bar Association and is also admitted to practice in Federal Court.
Currently in private practice he litigates cases including Manufactured Housing and unlawful detainers.

Chester works as a lobbyist with Mark Gjurasic at Public Affairs of Washington and works with the Washington Legislature. He routinely reviews and drafts legislation, meets with
lawmakers,
and testifies before the Legislature. He also attends campaign fundraiser lunches with key lawmakers.
